The Kodayar River makes its dramatic descent at Thiruparappu, creating a magnificent waterfall that flows from a height of nearly 50 feet. The Kodayar River makes its descent at Thiruparappu. The waterfalls is about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) from Pechiparai Dam. It is just a 15 min drive from the waterfalls. The riverbed is rocky and about 300 feet (91 m) in length Water flows here for almost seven months a year, making it a year-round attraction—with the best experience from October to March.
Situated around 13 km from Pechiparai Dam, this picturesque location also features the Thirparappu weir, built upstream to supply water for irrigation. A Siva temple, fortified and rich in cultural heritage, stands gracefully near the falls, adding a spiritual aura to the visit.
For families, a children’s swimming pool, developed by the district administration, is a popular attraction and adds to the overall enjoyment for young visitors.
